Warm, quiet and wind-proof was the goal of our New Ambush Insulated Series Outerwear. All three garments are designed to work together as the ultimate late-season system, allowing you to match to the temperatures of your hunt and keep you in the field longer. The Ambush Insulated Vest features 165 gram micro-fleece outer fabric bonded to an ultra light 4-way stretch wind-proof membrane. Also features a safety harness pass-through. This additional layering piece increases your comfort level while hunting in inclement weather. Estimated temp range: 10-30 degrees, lower with layers*.

The vest itself is one of the most versatile pieces of hunting gear to own. This one makes no exceptions and takes the warmth factor to the next level. As a bow hunter in late season I worry about bulk in the sleeve area of my bow arm. With this vest, that’s not an issue and I sacrifice nothing in the way of warmth. The size zipper take a second to get used to zipping up, but the placement make perfect sense in order to provide total access to the front pocket. Speaking of, that thing is hugh and deep. You can add a hand warmer and some other small items and still have room to spare. I would have loved to see a vertical chest pocket to add yet more storage. The PrimaLoft Silver is nothing shy of outstanding and is what is used in the top of the line brands. In a tree in the dead of winter with no leaves, the Fall Gray make you a ghost. If you get busted, you screwed up and moved or got winded because they damn sure will not see you or pick you out. I would recommend this vest to every serious hunters who want serious gear. The size is true to fit and you don’t need much layering underneath for sure. If you use this vest as a mid layering item and add the bibs and/ or jacket you will be good to way lower than I have ever hunted which has been to a few degrees below zero. Great job Predator.
