The Special Hiking Pant is an athletic-styled pant for the active hunter. Great for spring turkey hunts and early fall archery, or as a concealing layer over warmer clothes in cooler weather. These ultra-light, unlined pants feature 4-way stretch woven fabric, no-slip waistband, two slash front pockets, two zippered cargo pockets and one rear zippered pocket. Diamond crotch gusset and 95% polyester/5% spandex blended fabric combine for unrestricted movement. Estimated temp range: 60-80 degrees, lower with layers*.
* Temp ranges are ESTIMATED. Many factors play into every situation like wind, humidity, precipitation, location, time of year and individual preferences.
I received them. They can run small in the waist. I wear jeans size 34 for years. I ordered a 34 and they were 2 inches too short. Also my right pocket was folder over the seam during the sewing process. I contacted CS and Jen took great care of me. I measured my waist and she manually measured a pair and sent the correct size. They will gladly help you get the correct size if they don't fit. I would suggest ordering at least 1 to 2 sizes larger than you think. This will be a closer starting point if they don't fit. ordered because of the 34" inseam; thanks predatorcamo for stocking 34" inseam; ordered a 40" waist; fit as expected Unknown on 13th Aug 2018
Great for warm weather or for mild weather with a base layer. Bow hunted in 80 degree heat the other day and they were. Ice and cool by themselves. Bow hunted 55 degrees last night and were great with a thin base layer. Be weary of briars though as the material is thin. Can't beat the patterns offered. Chris on 12th Oct 2017
Keeps you cool. Repels light water. I wear a 36x34, and ordered a 38. They fit perfect. Work well for early bow season or spring turkey in southern Indiana. Chris on 11th Oct 2017
I do a lot of technical hiking, and a variety of endurance sports. I had really wanted a set of pants like this, and was excited to see predator had created this option. These are, what they are advertised to be. They are lightwieght - in a hunting context. they are certainly heavier than a "true" technical pant, similar to what you may wear while doing an aggressive hike or adventure race for example... They are slightly water resistant. Not sure how that would go in the rain, but walking through woods after a rain or a dewy field, that would bead right off.
The waist fit overall is great. The waist is not stretchy at all, so select that correctly. But the stretch in the pant's is great when you are moving around, hiking in, or climbing into the stand. Will K on 30th Sep 2017
Extremely light weight and breathable. Will have to see how it holds up on my Ibex hunt Jack Ellis on 7th Sep 2017
I could not believe how comfortable these pants were when I tried them on. I am 6'4" tall and 240 lbs, the size 38 waist with 34 inseam fit like a glove, they are true to size. The quality of the fabric and the make of these hiking pants are second to none. Looking forward to wearing them while chasing some eastern turkeys in a few weeks. Johan Albert on 14th Apr 2017
Extremely comfortable and lightweight. But, the fabric is very thin and I know it will tear easily. That's not a problem per say, it's just a given when you buy warm-weather material. Definitely cut trails to your stand before season starts. Regardless, these pants are a 5 out of 5 Dennis Novotny on 1st Sep 2016
These are the nicest pair of pants I have ever owned. They are so light and line dry super fast. If you want a super high end early season pants....buy them. You can't even tell your wearing them. Dan on 22nd Aug 2016
